Hello Caiman Swimmers!
Welcome to the 2024 Swim Season! Hopefully you were able to attend the Caiman Way Sports Night to get an overview of the season but if not we will get you informed during our team meeting. We will begin practicing on Monday, even if it is raining. The only weather we get out of the pool for is lightning and then we would switch to a team meeting.
First practice: Monday, February 5th, 11:00 am-2:00 pm @ James Stone Pool
Please come regardless of your athletic clearance status! The first hour of practice will be a team meeting. If you do not have your clearance complete, you may leave at the conclusion of the meeting. If you are cleared to practice, we will be getting in the water!
Athletic Clearance: If you have not completed your athletic clearance paperwork, including your physical, please do this ASAP! You will not be allowed to get into the water until this is completed. No exceptions. Here is a link to the Caiman Sports website. I know that trying to get this done may be a challenge. Minute Clinics inside CVS can complete them, but you will need to make an appointment. Don't forget to fill out the online portion of the paperwork, as well.
Practices: All practices will be at James Stone Pool (In the California Center for the Arts parking lot across from CAMS and CAHS-PLC)
Monday 11:00 am-2:00 pm
Tuesday - Friday 3:45-5:45 pm
Parent Meeting: We will have a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING on Tuesday, February 13th at 5:00 at James Stone Pool. Please make sure at least one parent or guardian can attend.

Team Suits:
(Per NFHS/CIF rules) FOR MEETS: Girls suits must be a solid black one-piece suit that is tight while still providing full coverage. No tie-backs, zippers etc.
Boys may wear speedos or jammers that are either all black or are Classical Academy water polo suits. Absolutely NO club suits will be allowed at meets. If a suit is found by an official to be in violation of these guidelines, the swimmer can face potential disqualification until in legal attire.
FOR PRACTICE: Girls suits must be full coverage one-piece suits of any color. No tie-backs.
Expectations: All swimmers should come to practice with their own personal motivation and goals, and the energy and attitude to make the most of every day. We should not EXPECT to win every meet or to achieve best times or to win leagues, but we should EXPECT to work hard every single day so that those things can happen, we will be ready to compete at our highest level!
Our practice and meet schedule can also be viewed on the Caiman Sports website and app. If there is anything that you are still wondering about or any personal situation that you want to talk to a coach about, please bring it to practice and we will answer it for you!
Can't wait to see you all at the pool on Monday!
