Hi Everyone,
Hopefully the rain is just light this week so we can compete without obstacles. Unfortunately there will be no makeup day for our League Meet #2 that got cancelled. Thank you all for the hard work and flexibility.
Pacific Cluster #3: This week we have our League Meet on Thursday. I re-entered most of you into the same events you were put in for last week. If you were not racing last week, I added you back in. Please check if you are put into a relay so you can get handoffs down. Alternates should be able to do the handoffs too. I'll attach the list below.
Any changes need to be made by Tuesday at the end of practice. Please look at what events you are in before tomorrow so you aren't caught off guard. It is your responsibility to know what events you're in and when your events are.
It is at OGHS again, at 4:00pm. Release from school is 2:30, be there by 3:00!
Mt. Carmel/Asics Invitational: There will be qualifying marks needed to compete on Saturday. I entered the top 3 athletes for boys and girls from each event. I also loaded every relay with a full team of alternates as well to maximize participation for the team. I will not have the official roster for this meet until later this week for who is participating.
The meet itself will start at 10am and go until 6pm at the latest. It is at Mt. Carmel HS. Top 5 for each event will receive medals. This is a very large, very fun event. Nearly 100 schools compete! I will keep updating with more information as I receive it.
Attendance: We've had awesome attendance for the size of this team so far. If you have another commitment and we've talked about it already, but you see that I don't mark you as excused on the attendance sheet, please remind me via email and at practice. There are officially 70 athletes, so I mess up sometimes and forget about your other commitments. Help me help you stay on track!(pun intended) Some of you need a little improvement on makeup workouts. Makeup workouts are not optional, they are required to compete so make sure you let me know you get them done! Thank you for all the great communication so far. Let's keep getting better together to make sure we're all on the same page.
Pictures: Thank the Lord we got pictures done in that little pocket of sunshine! Tony was so kind to come out and make sure it got done even though he was sick. We only did the team photo so it could go into the yearbook before the deadline. If any of you would like individual or buddy photos taken, please speak up. Tony told me that he will come back when he's better and take them for anyone that wants them if there is interest.
